reVision Urban Farm is a wonderful place for Access All participants to reconnect with the land -and get their hands dirty- while helping to feed the hungry and assist in keeping our city beautiful.
Participants created beautiful paintings using a modified version of the batik process. Instead of using the standard wax and dyes, the paintings were created using clear, washable glue (which acts as a resist, like wax) and tempera paints. The final step in the project will be matting a selection of the batik designs. They will soon be available for sale online at the Kids Are People School Gift Shop.
Students enjoyed a variety of fun art activities over three days during the school's annual June Art Days program. They created a variety of arts and crafts, including jewelry.
